The most familiar sight associated with Iloilo is the Molo Church built in 1831. Its two towering red spires and its regal structure sits on a throne high above the Molo plaza. It is also known to be a feminist church because of the two rows of sixteen female saints line on both sides of the altar. Molo church is very sturdy and has survived fires, earthquakes, and artillery barrages in 1945. |
